When I started experimenting with green smoothies, my biggest surprise was discovering how this blend of sweet fruits and green leafy vegetables could be harmonious and tasty. Soon the green smoothie became my favorite lunch.Vary the greens
When discovered green smoothies , it is good to start with fresh greens taste like spinach , parsley and mash . Optionally , you can experiment with more full-bodied greens : chard , lettuce, celery leaves , kale , watercress, etc. . The house sprouts are economical and extremely nutritious. In season, the leaves of vegetables like tails carrots, beet and radish and wild plants (provided it is well known, of course) are wonderful additions to the daily smoothie.
The important thing is to think of varying leafy green vegetables we consume in order to enjoy the full range of benefits they offer.Additions to taste
I chose to present my recipe the simplest : apple, orange, banana and spinach. Fruits and cheap and easy to find vegetables, even in winter , even organic.
However, do not hesitate to add or substitute ingredients , especially when it is to incorporate seasonal ingredients !the recipe
Yield: 1 large glass
ingredients:
1 apple, heart removed but you can keep the skin if it is organic
½ banana
1 orange juice
½ to 1 cup water
1 handful of spinach ( possibly increases the proportion of greens for a nutritious smoothie )
Method and preparation :
1 . Wash fruits and vegetables.
2 . Put in a blender decked apple, banana, orange juice with ½ cup of water. Liquefy .
3 . Gradually add the spinach and let it run until the smoothie that is smooth.
4 . Add a little water if the smoothie is too thick.some variants
Add a handful of frozen strawberries or raspberries. Fruity and delicious!
Add a spoonful of hemp seeds and goji berries ( soaked ) for a superfood smoothie .
Replace the apple with an equivalent amount of pieces of mango or pineapple .
